Zusammenfassung
Eine 49jährige Patientin mit nicht bekanntem, malignem Lymphom und IgM-Paraproteinämie
vom χ-Typ starb 6 Stunden nach einer Urographie. Ursache war die Denaturierung des
Paraproteins im Serum durch das intravenös applizierte trijodierte Kontrastmittel.
Eine Paraproteinämie stellt eine Kontraindikation gegen die intravenöse Kontrastmittelapplikation
dar.
Abstract
A 49-year-old female patient with undiagnosed malignant lymphoma and an IgM paraproteinaemia
of the χ-type died six hours after urography. The cause was denaturation of the paraprotein
in the serum due to the intravenously administered triiodinated contrast medium. Paraproteinaemia
is a contraindication for the administration of intravenous contrast media.
